Braving the Brain:
Ethical Issues in Neuroscience

Ethics Mini Symposium
10:00 am, Wednesday June 16, 2010
Room 3H - Sir Charles Tupper Medical Buildling, Dalhousie University

Rapid neuroscientific advances in recent years have led to a myriad of brain interventions such as brain imaging, deep-brain stimulation, and neural stem cell transplantation. But these interventions are significantly different than other medical interventions, given their potential to alter our sense of self, our mental functions, consciousness and personal identity. This mini ethics symposium will feature four distinct neuroethics issues.
