Come and join us for complementary hors d'oeuvres and drinks as we talk about the latest legal developments about health care at the end of life.

Jocelyn Downie, Professor of Law and Medicine at Dalhousie University, and author of Dying Justice: A Case for Legalizing Euthansia and Assisted Suicide in Canada will provide some background on the ethics and law of assisted suicide.

Most importantly, we would like to hear your thoughts on this important topic.

Moderating the event will be Colleen Flood, Scientific Director CIHR-Institute of Health Services and Policy Research, Canada Research Chair in Health Law and Policy, Faculty of Law, University of Toronto, and editor of the book Just Medicare: What's In, What's Out, How We Decide.

Funding for this Café Scientifique is provided by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
