Tim Krahn

Tim Krahn is a researcher working in the areas of neuroethics and assisted human reproduction with a special focus on how new technological developments in these fields impact questions of ethics and policies for persons with disabilities. This research is informed by his previous work in moral epistemology, moral ontology, social theory, and contemporary political philosophy. Tim has also worked for years for various community agencies and public schools providing direct services to persons with developmental disabilities. Prior to this, Tim was a full-time lecturer in the Philosophy department at the University of Winnipeg from 1997-2000.

Tim is currently working on papers dealing with the social, ethical, and policy implications of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis; other papers in progress are on the topics of Autism, Neurodiversity, Mental Health & Film. Tim is also very involved in leading Novel Tech Ethics' public education initiatives on Neuroethics.
